The Life Caverns
Main story quest
The crystals are the shards of Greyor's orb, and someone means to put it back together where the life force runs strongest.
The Meeting
Back at the hideout, Isharia calls everyone together. The other group found its crystal, but a wizard robed in black and white took it from them. Okyon has finished The Seven Stars. The seven crystals are the pieces of Greyor’s orb, which the Hero shattered five centuries ago, and the orb can only be remade where the life force runs strongest. That is the Life Caverns, on the island of the Universitat.
The Caverns
The cave is just east of the Hidden City of Mages.
Nina's Last Stand
Nina is waiting inside, and warns you to leave. Fight her, and this time she does not escape; but she has none of the crystals. A Life Elixir (1) and a Magic Elixir (2) lie in the cavern.

Greyor
At the magical pool in the middle of the cavern, the wizard pushes the crystals into the water and draws out the whole orb. He is Greyor himself. The Rein only ever served him, and he has suffered five hundred years inside The Rift. Now, he says, The Rift has let him out to finish something it has waited for since long before. With a flash, he leaves the party unconscious on the cavern floor.
The Sceptre
Tell Isharia. She asks you to speak to everyone first (Madigan, Khan, Okyon, and Daisalan), then to her again. Greyor can only be beaten inside The Rift, and there is one other way in: a sceptre Greyor made centuries before the orb, locked in The Vault behind three locks. One key was thrown down the Schwarzloch, the second was given to the Westberg dwarves, and Isharia is still tracking down the third. Speak to Khan to search the Schwarzloch yourself, in Search the Schwarzloch, or to Daisalan to go to the dwarves, in Find the Westberg Dwarves’ Key. The other group takes the other key.
The party's journal
Khan's people were ambushed by some strange wizard. We can only assume he's working with Nina. The Rein has all the crystals now.
Okyon has been able to find more information in 'The Seven Stars'. The crystals are shards of Greyor's orb. We must assume someone is trying to put them back together. This can only be done in the Life Caverns, where the energy flows are strong.
Daisalan's people were ambushed by some strange wizard. We can only assume he's working with Nina. The Rein has all the crystals now.
Greyor is the mysterious wizard in the white and black robes! He wasn't working for The Rein, they were working for him. And now he's restored his crystal. Five centuries ago, he used it to control the world, and now he has it back. We must tell Isharia.
We thought we'd be done with this mess after killing Nina, but it seems we're in it all the way. Greyor's orb wields the power in The Rift, a direct link to the life force of the world. If Greyor gets control of this much power, he could destroy the world. The only way to stop someone this powerful would be to confront him in The Rift. To do this we must find another of Greyor's devices. He built a sceptre centuries ago to connect with The Rift. It is now locked away in a vault. We must first gather the keys to the vault. We know where two of them are. We should speak to Khan if we want to explore the Schwarzloch. Otherwise, we should speak to Daisalan if we want to seek out the dwarves.
