The Hunt For Nina

Main story quest

Dieb is dead and the guild is shattered. Madigan thinks Nina means to collect the rest of the crystals herself, and she has a lead.

Find Madigan

The raft lands north of Willowbrook. Madigan, at the inn, already knew you had been captured; she has to make preparations, and asks you to take the room she has paid for and talk tonight.

A Night at the Inn

Talk to the innkeeper to take the room. That night Madigan tells you her spies saw a small group, led by someone who matches Nina, buying supplies and asking about a cave near Nanten. She asks you to pick up the trail there, while she leaves to look for outside help.

Nina's Trail

In Nanten, Brynn remembers the group. They asked about an old dwarven mine to the north, mined out long ago, where the life force still runs strong.

The Dwarven Mine

The mine is north of Nanten. Its two levels are a maze of rooms joined only by ladders, holes, and blue portals, and only one route leads to Nina. From the ladder in, walk to the room south of the middle and take the right-hand portal (A). Along the way are a Troll Hide Shield (1), 227 gold (2), and a Bow (3), though not all of them are on the route. On the lower level, climb the ladder on the east side (B). Back on the upper level, go down the hole in the long hall along the east edge (C). On the lower level again, take the portal in the north-east (D), and you arrive in the room where Stiletto waits.

Stiletto

Nina is already gone with the crystal. Stiletto stayed behind, and he offers to spare you if you swear yourselves to The Rein. Refuse and kill him; he will not let you leave until he is dead. This level holds Pants of Might (1), a Ring of Unencumbrance (2), 333 gold (3), and a War Hammer (4), off the route in other rooms. The portal in his room then takes you back near the way out. Outside, Madigan has sent someone to find you. Continue with The Resistance.

The party's journal

Madigan is still safe, but Dieb is dead and the guild is shattered. But she has a plan. It seems we might find some revenge. We are to speak to the innkeeper and grab a room when we are prepared.

We're on the right track and getting closer. Nina wasn't too careful about covering her trail through Nanten. She headed north to an abandoned dwarven mine.

Nina is gone already - all our speed wasn't enough. However, Stiletto remained behind to greet us. He tried to bribe us, but we cannot be bought.
