Stiletto
Main story quest
Madigan, who runs the guild's network of spies, is losing her people and cannot find Dieb. Couriers still carry his messages into Tristen, and she thinks Stiletto can help trace them.
Find Madigan
Madigan is at the inn in Willowbrook. To reach the island, ask Erwin at Illana’s Keep to sail you there. Madigan lunges at you with a dagger before she sees who you are. Her spies have been disappearing, and Dieb has vanished, but couriers still carry his messages into Tristen. She sends you to Stiletto to intercept one.
Stiletto's Bargain
Stiletto is still posing as the clerk in Tristen. He says he had not noticed Dieb’s couriers, and offers a deal. Bring him the key to Darvin’s chest, which the resistance holds, and he will watch for Dieb’s men. The resistance works from a farm south-east of Illana’s Keep, and its password is “Mana”.
The Resistance Farm
At the farm, say the password to Zyenna, at the long table in the dining hall. She will not give up the key, but she has been watching Stiletto. He gets letters almost daily, and the couriers who bring them wear Thieves’ Guild pendants and are seen in Rein camps.
Confront Stiletto
Back in Tristen, confront Stiletto with what Zyenna told you. He admits that he sold you to The Rein at the crypt, then escapes through a door of light before anyone can stop him.
Passage to Sebastian's Keep
Go to Hans-Dirk at his keep, who is startled to see you out of his prison. He swears The Rein forced him to help them. The Rein comes from Unschuld, and travels by sea from Sebastian’s Keep, and Hans-Dirk offers you passage there. Ring the silver bell on his dock to call the ship. Continue with Sebastian’s Deal.
The party's journal
We met up with Madigan. She seemed a bit on edge and could only offer us some help. The entire guild is falling apart and Dieb has disappeared. Madigan thinks it has something to do with our ambush. She suggested talking to Stiletto.
Stiletto is the only member of The Guild that Madigan still has tabs on. We must seek him out to see if he has any information that can help us.
Stiletto was still struggling to get at resistance information. If we help him by getting a key from the resistance, he'll see what he can find out about Dieb.
All this time Stiletto thought he was spying on the resistance. It turns out they were spying on him. He's been visiting The Rein camps in secrecy. We must confront him with this!
Stiletto has betrayed the guild! He was the one who set us up and he's been working with The Rein. He escaped before we could grab him. We should talk to Hans-Dirk to get more information on The Rein.
We went straight for Hans-Dirk and it seems like we caught him by surprise. He claims he was forced into helping The Rein, but he'll help us instead. He offered us passage to Sebastian's Keep, where we can find a way into The Rein stronghold of Unschuld.
