New Orders
Main story quest
Nina has left orders in Hafen that were meant for Stiletto, who has gone missing. The party takes the job instead, to see who is behind it.
Khan in Hafen
In Hafen, Khan has a message from Nina for Stiletto, though orders come from Dieb, not Nina, and Stiletto has gone missing. The job is another crystal, in a temple north of Maenig’s Keep. It may be another trap, but playing along is the only way to find out who is behind it. Matrose, at the dock, sails to Maenig’s Keep; ring the bell to go.
The Abandoned Temple
The temple stands in a walled yard north-east of Maenig’s Keep. The party kicks in its rotten door (D). Inside, an inscription (R) reads: “Perception is not truth, what you cannot see is real. The sun rises in the west, the moon glows to the east, and the brightest star of all shall be revealed to those who perceive the truth.” A picture lies on the floor at the end of each arm of the temple, and it changes each time you touch it. Leave the west picture (W) as it is, touch the east picture (E) once, and touch the north picture (N) twice: the sun in the west, the moon in the east, and the star in the north. Then press the button (B), and the crystal appears on the floor behind you. Pressing the button with the pictures set wrong starts a fight. A Life Elixir (1) lies in the yard.

Back to Khan
Take the crystal back to Khan in Hafen. He sets off to find Nina and deliver it, and suggests you seek out Lord Matthias, who is at war with The Rein and may have answers. A mountain pass near Hafen leads to his keep. Continue with Curing Matthias’s Troops.
The party's journal
It seems Nina is giving orders now. She gave Khan instructions to send to Stiletto. But Stiletto is missing, so we have the orders now. We must find a third crystal, hidden in a temple north of Maenig's Keep. It is probably another trap, but we can only play along until we know who to trust.
The temple was treacherous, but we recovered the crystal. We will return to Hafen, but must watch out. Can Khan be trusted?
We gave the crystal to Khan without a problem. He had no further orders, so he went to find Nina. It seems we're on our own now.
Matthias is currently at war against The Rein. That might put him on our side and he may be able to help us figure out why The Rein is after us.
