Shepherd's Quest
Side quest
Orcs keep stealing a shepherd's sheep, and he will pay to have it stopped.
The Shepherd
The shepherd’s farm is north of Willowbrook. Orcs raid his flock at night, and he asks you to put an end to it. He marks their lair on your map, two squares further north. The cave there stays shut to you until he has asked.
The Orc Caves
Fight your way across the caves from the way in, in the north-west, to the ladder in the far south-east. A Board with Nail (1) and 10 gold (2) lie along the way.
Kulag
Kulag, king of the orcs, confesses at once. He has been stealing sheep for their wool, because a king needs a cloak of the best material, and he promises to stop if you bring him a wool cloak.
The Wool Cloak
The shepherd finds the request odd, but gives you all the wool he can spare. Take it to the seamstress in Willowbrook, in the north of town, who sews it into a cloak in a few hours.
The Reward
Kulag is delighted with his cloak and calls off the raids. The shepherd pays you 250 gold.
- You receive 250 gold.
The party's journal
A shepherd north of Willowbrook is being raided by orcs. We have agreed to investigate.
After fighting our way through the orc caves, we came across their king Kulag. He's been stealing sheep to make a cloak - what unusual behavior! Maybe it makes sense to an orc. We promised to bring him a cloak to stop his attacks.
The shepherd has given us all the wool he can spare and the location of a seamstress.
The seamstress in Willowbrook was able to make us a cloak. With luck, it will placate the orcs.
The dingy cloak seems to have worked. Kulag has called off his raiding parties. We should check with the shepherd to see if everything is back to normal.
The orcs have stopped raiding the shepherd and the quest is complete.
