Help Galgarant
Main story quest
Lord Galgarant will open the mountain pass to Willowbrook once Lord Regskada is dead, and he wants it done quietly, with poison.
Take Galgarant's Offer
Galgarant’s Keep is east of where the sewer comes out. Speak to Lord Galgarant once to hear his offer, and again to accept it. Regskada keeps too many loyal people around him to be attacked openly, so Galgarant wants him poisoned with a rare fungus that grows only in the forest to the north. The Apothecarist in Wisp can help.
Get the Spores
The Apothecarist in Wisp gives you the fungus spores for free. They will only take root on the eastern side of the Sheltered Forest.
Grow the Poison
The Sheltered Forest lies north of Galgarant’s Keep. On its eastern side, one round patch of dark soil, ringed by four stones, looks strangely different from the rest of the forest. Plant the spores there. A foul-smelling fungus springs up at once, and you squeeze its fluid into a vial.
Poison Regskada
Regskada’s Keep is south of where the sewer comes out. Speak to Lord Regskada and he invites you to dinner. While one of you tells tales of your adventures and the other two act them out, the poison goes into his wine. He dies within moments, and his food taster, Elund, takes the blame.
Through the Pass
Return to Galgarant, who keeps his word. The guard on the road east through the mountains now lets you through the pass. Willowbrook lies to the south-east. Continue with The Tristen Crystal.
The party's journal
Our path to Willowbrook is blocked, and we've been forced to help Galgarant assassinate Regskada. We must travel back to Wisp and speak to the Apothecarist about poison fungus spores.
The Apothecarist gave us some strange spores. They will only grow in a certain region of the forest. He marked the general location on our map.
The moment we planted the spores, the poison fungus sprouted from the ground. Carefully, we made an extract. Now we just need to get Regskada to drink it.
We slipped the poison in Regskada's drink without notice and he died within moments. We must tell Galgarant that we completed our task.
Galgarant kept his word and opened the pass. We can continue to Willowbrook now.
