Breaking Into Unschuld
Side quest
A smuggler's tunnel into Unschuld is overrun by creatures from a box of magic.
Camille
Camille’s camp is just north of Unschuld. She deals in magic, which The Rein forbids in the city, so her partners dug a tunnel into it, right into a cellar where The Rein stores magic items. They opened a small box there, and creatures burst out of it. Destroy the box. First, though, find the wand Homer used to raise a barrier in the tunnel: he turned west at the fork where they left the wheelbarrow, and never came out.
The Tunnel
The tunnel winds a long way. Take the branch in the far north-west for Homer, and the one in the north for the cellar.
Homer's Wand
Homer’s body lies at the end of the western branch, with his wand. It seems broken; take it to Camille, who reactivates it.
The Barrier and the Box
Point the wand at the barrier (B) in the north and it fades. Then find the box (X) between the storage barrels in the cellar to the south, and stamp on it. A Magic Dagger (1) lies in the north-east.
The Reward
Camille gives you Astral Mail, her best piece, and the tunnel is yours to use. Inside Unschuld, Iria, Myria, and Sar now sell Camille’s wares.
- You receive Astral Mail.
The party's journal
A smuggler named Camille has offered us a reward and passage into Unschuld. All we have to do is clear the monsters out that she accidentally released into the tunnel. Also, her companions raised a magic barrier that must be removed. To do so, we have to find the wand that was used to construct it. It should be on Homer's corpse in tunnel.
We found the wand, but cannot operate it. We'll have to take it back to Camille.
Camille activated the wand. It should be able to destroy the barrier.
We removed the barrier and now need to find the source of the monsters.
The source is destroyed.
Camille rewarded us with magic armor and unlimited usage of the tunnel. We can now enter and leave Unschuld at will.
